Via its official Weibo account, Xiaomi has confirmed the launch timeline of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, its top-tier flagship. The smartphone will debut in India next week, i.e., the week of December 22, 2025.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s Official Launch Timeline Confirmed
In addition to confirming the launch timeline, Xiaomi has revealed that it is working on a “co-creation model” with Leica to upgrade its current imaging pipeline, which should benefit the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
According to recent reports, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra could go on pre-order in China on December 25, 2025, and its launch event could take place on December 26, 2025. Since the company’s official launch timeline coincides with the rumored date, it seems credible.

Global Availability and FCC Certification

Most recently, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra was also spotted in the FCC and IMEI databases, suggesting the company could launch the phone in the United States. Per the FCC listing, the handset’s global variant has the model number “2512BPNDAG,” where the “G” indicates it’s an international variant.
Key Specs: Snapdragon 8 Elite & 200MP Camera
Regarding the handset’s specifications, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is said to feature a 6.8-inch 2K LTPO screen. Under the hood, it will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3nm) chipset. However, its main attraction will be the 200MP primary camera and three 50MP cameras on the back (including at least one periscope zoom lens).
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra could be powered by a 7,000 mAh battery that supports fast wired and wireless charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0. Despite rumored performance improvements, the handset could debut at a similar price to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, i.e., CNY 6,499.
