Xiaomi announces several connected ecosystem devices in India at Smarter Living 2021

Xiaomi held its annual Smarter Living event virtually announcing several new AIoT devices in India. It includes Mi Watch Revolve, Mi Band 5, a new smart speaker, a smart bulb, shoes, and an automatic soap dispenser.

With these new product announcements, Xiaomi has expanded its eco-system products which Mi fans have been asking for a long time. Here’s everything you need to know about Xiaomi Smarter Living 2021 products:

Mi Smart Speaker

Xiaomi has offered Bluetooth speakers in the past which were instant hits with users looking for affordable options. Following the same philosophy, Xiaomi has launched Mi Smart Speaker in India. The Mi Smart Speaker has built-in Google Assistant and Chromecast audio which means you can use your voice to control compatible smart devices at your home. It has touch-sensitive buttons for playback and device control.

Xiaomi has packed two far-field mics on the Mi Smart Speaker that should enable voice commands to work across a decent-sized hall. The smart speaker is powered by TAS5805M audio processor and includes a 2.5-inch, 63.5mm driver to deliver for 12W sound output. It comes with DTS sound, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.2 support. Xiaomi has priced the Mi Smart Speaker at Rs 3,999. As an introductory offer, the Mi Smart Speaker will be available at Rs 3,499. It will go on sale from October 1 onwards.

Mi Watch Revolve

The Mi Watch Revolve is Xiaomi’s first smartwatch in the country. It appears to offer premium design and Xiaomi uses its Firstbeat Motion Algorithm for accurate tracking. The watch has a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with a circular dial on the front and two crowns on the right-hand side. It boasts of 14 days battery life on a single charge.

Xiaomi’s first smartwatch comes with built-in GPS, always-on display, and more than 100 watch faces to choose from. Interestingly, Xiaomi chooses to run it on its own proprietary software over Google’s Wear OS. One can pair it with a Xiaomi Wear companion app to access to sync phone’s notifications and fitness stats with one another.

The Mi Watch Revolve is priced at Rs 10,999, but you can grab one at the introductory price of Rs 9,999 before Diwali. Xiaomi is to host its first sale on October 6 at noon on Amazon and Mi store.

Mi Smart Band 5

At its Smart Living 2021 event, Xiaomi also announced Mi Smart Band 5 fitness tracker. The new fitness band is a major upgrade over its predecessor. The Mi Band 5 comes with a bigger and brighter color AMOLED touchscreen, better charging mechanism, and improved activity tracking capabilities.

In Mi Smart Band 5, Xiaomi has introduced several new tracking modes such as yoga, freestyle, swimming, etc. It is also capable of keeping track of menstrual cycles, sleep time, and afternoon naps. Once paired with a smartphone, it can also double up as a remote camera shutter trigger.

The Mi Smart Band 5 India price is Rs 2,499 and it will go on sale from October 1 on the Amazon website and app.

Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser

Xiaomi’s much-awaited Automatic Soap Dispenser has finally landed in India. In these COVID times, Xiaomi couldn’t have timed its launch more perfectly.

The Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser has a sensor placed near the nozzle that detects hands to dispense soap form. This elegant looking device claims to provide 375 washes from a single refill. Xiaomi is offering a complimentary 300ml refill with Mi Automatic Soap Dispenser priced at Rs 999 and it will go on sale for Rs 999.

Mi Smart LED Blub

The Mi Smart LED bulb also joins the Xiaomi IoT product list in India. It’s a 7.5W low power consuming Smart Bulb which emits 810 lumens of cool white light.

The new smart bulb has Indian B22 connectors and can be controlled with voice using Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant. Initially one has to set it up using Mi Home App following a few simple steps. Once the setup is done, a user can schedule it to automatically turn on/off. As per Xiaomi claims, it offers 15,000 hours of lifespan.

The 7.5W Mi Smart LED Bulb is now available on Mi online store for just Rs 499.

Mi Athleisure Shoes

Beyond tech, Xiaomi has been expanding its presence in lifestyle category for some time now. Continuing with that plan, Xiaomi also launched its Mi Athleisure Shoes in India.

The new Xioami shoes are made from ultralight material with a honeycomb mesh design to ensure for improved breathability. As per Xiaomi, the insole of the shoe is made of shock-absorbing EVA foam for improved comfort. The shoe comes Blue, Gray and Black color options.
