Xiaomi Mi 10i to launch on Jan 5: Everything we know about the phone

Xiaomi is unveiling the Mi 10i tomorrow, i.e., January 05, 2021, at 12 noon. And from the bevy of teasers loaded on the company’s social media channels, we know how the device looks, about its 108MP main camera, and the attractive colors. The phone is said to be indigenously made and customized by the local product team. In fact, the ‘i’ suffix stands for India.

Mi 10i: Everything we know so far

Mi 10i will come powered by Snapdragon 750G chipset coupled with an integrated 5G modem. A recent Geekbench listing also hints at up to 8GB RAM and Android 10 OS (with MIUI 12 skin). The storage options could max at 256gigs.

As the Twitter post suggests this one’s going to boast a long battery life from the alleged 4,820mAh juice bank inside backed by a 33W fast-charger.

On the surface, the fascia is likely a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a central cutout housing a 16MP selfie snapper. By the back, there’s the advertised 108MP primary shooter sitting within a round casing. The other cameras are a 13MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth module.

Among other things, Mi 10i appears to have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a USB-C port.

Xiaomi Mi 10i Price and Availability

The expected price of the base 6GB RAM plus 128GB model will be close to ₹25,000 in India. It will go on sale via Amazon India, official Mi outlets, and other retail partners. You should be able to pick the Mi 10i in Atlantic Blue, Pacific Sunrise, Rose Gold Beach, and Pearl Gray colors.
