Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship phone – Mi 9 Pro – and apart from highlights like Snapdragon 855+, the Mi 9 Pro shows off some industry-leading fast charge technology.

The handset has a 4000mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging and 30W wireless fast charging. As for wired fast charging, the required charger is bundled in the box and can fully top up the battery in 48 minutes.

For the super-fast wireless charging, you will need Xiaomi’s proprietary wireless pad with additional cooling, and with this charging dock, you can fully charge the phone in just 69 minutes! And yes, the phone also supports 10W reverse wireless charging.

Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro price and availability

The Mi 9 Pro will come in both 5G and 4G variants, but the 5G model will be available later in October. In China, Mi 9 Pro will be available in Titanium Black and Dream White color options. Here’s how the 4 variants have been priced:

  • Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage: 3,699 yuan (roughly Rs. 36,971)

  • Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 12GB RAM + 128GB Storage: 4,099 yuan (roughly Rs. 40,961)

Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro Features

It’s powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus octa-core chipset with 8GB or 12GB RAM. Interestingly, Xiaomi says that the Mi 9 Pro’s AMOLED display is professionally calibrated.

The camera hardware remains the same as the Xiaomi Mi9, but perhaps the camera performance has been upgraded.

The bigger battery and all that fast charging tech make the phone thicker (7.7mm vs 8.5mm) and heavier (173g vs 196g) as compared to the Mi 9.

Also, Xiaomi says the speaker on the Mi 9 Pro is the loudest and better sounding than anything it has ever used in the past.
