Xiaomi Mi CC9 series, that brandishes a Colorful & Creative spirit, is now official. Three new models include Mi CC9, Mi CC9e, and Mi CC9 Meitu edition. They eye for a gradient look like most Xiaomi phones of 2019. The visual confluence expands to the waterdrop notch, triple cameras, 32MP camera at front and 48MP at back.
As the earlier leaks pointed out, none of the three options employs a flip camera.

Xiaomi Mi CC9 highlights
Xiaomi kicked off the event with Mi CC9 which charms in various prismatic colors like Planet Blue, White Lover, and Dark Prince. The fascia flaunts a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a small waterdrop notch up top. The notch is home to a 32MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Xiaomi has added some AR based Mimoji avatars.
There is a camera triplet at the back with a LED flash module. The primary one is a 48MP camera with f/1.9 aperture, along with an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and finally a 2MP depth sensing unit. The camera packs a dedicated super night mode, portrait mode bokeh, 4K video recording, and 960fps slo-mo video recording.
Mi CC9 draws fuel from a 4,030mAh source with 18W fast charging support. The phone is steered by a Snapdragon 710 chip, something we also discovered in recent Geekbench leaks. This is complemented by 6GB of RAM and Adreno 616 GPU. It comes in 64GB and 128GB storage variants with expandable storage up to 256GB.

Rest of the laundry list of features include Face Recognition, in-screen fingerprint sensor, Game Turbo 2.0 mode, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 5, and Hi-Res audio. The software is Android 9 with MIUI 10 skin on top.
Xiaomi Mi CC9e highlights
Since it has a lot of similarities, let’s skim through the distinguishing factors. Upfront, it has a smaller 6.088-inch HD+ AMOLED display. Xiaomi goes with 2.0GHz Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor inside Mi CC9e. A smaller 4GB memory variant is also available here besides the 6GB option.
Xiaomi Mi CC9 Meitu edition: What’s Special?
This one is targetted at vloggers and therefore features camera enhancements such as AI low light portrait mode, movie portrait, and full body beauty filters. It is available in 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant that flaunts a White gradient color. Other specs are similar to the regular MI CC9. The Meitu edition comes in a custom package as well.

The Mi CC9 and Mi CC9 Meitu Custom Edition phones will go on sale starting July 5 in China. The Mi CC9e will hit the stores beginning July 9. The Mi CC9 series is expected to arrive in India soon.
