Xiaomi India has confirmed its second launch of the year, a day after the brand announced the Redmi 14C 5G smartphone in the country. The next device to come to the Indian market from the house of Xiaomi will be the Xiaomi Pad 7 and it will be launched on 10th January 2025. Xiaomi Pad 7 has already made its debut in China and now it will be coming to India as well. Xiaomi India took to X to confirm the arrival of Pad 7 and also shared some details about its features. It is the successor to the Xiaomi Pad 6 that came out in 2024.

Xiaomi Pad 7: Features
Xiaomi has confirmed that Pad 7 will be the brand’s first nano texture display that has been made for clarity as well as comfort. It is being deemed as a creativity partner for claims to offer ease while unleashing creativity. The official microsite for Xiaomi Pad 7 has gone live along with the Pad being listed on Amazon, which confirms its online availability.
While not much has been revealed about specs as of now, Xiaomi Pad 7 teasers reveal a keyboard+ case that will arrive with the device.
Since the Pad has been launched in China, so we do have an idea about what its specs might be. The Chinese version comes with an 11.2-inch LCD screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 800 nits brightness. The display also supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The Pad 7 is powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage onboard. The device runs on the latest HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 with the latest Xiaomi UI capabilities.
In terms of the camera, it has a 13MP main and an 8MP front sensor. Under the hood is an 8850mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. However, these features belong to the Chinese version of Xiaomi Pad 7 so we will have to wait to know how similar the Indian model would be.

In China, the Xiaomi Pad 7 has been launched for Rs. 23,500 approx. for 8GB RAM+128GB storage. Indian pricing will be along similar lines. It will come in black, blue and green hues.
