The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has released a new Android tablet in India. Dubbed Xiaomi Pad 7, the tablet offers a large 11-inch screen with four speakers, runs on a capable Qualcomm chip, and features a massive battery. At 6.18mm, the Xiaomi Pad 7 is quite thin for an 11-inch tablet. Other than that, the tablet features symmetrical bezels on the front and a clean back panel. Those purchasing the tablet can choose from three colors: Graphite Gray, Mirage Purple, and Sage Green.

Out of the box, the Xiaomi Pad 7 offers an 11.2-inch LCD screen with a pixel density of 345 ppi and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz (fixed at seven levels between 30Hz and 144Hz). Further, the screen has a touch sampling range of 360Hz. The screen can achieve 800 nits in the high brightness mode, while the typical maximum brightness is 600 nits.
Additional display features include 240Hz touch sampling for the stylus, 12-bit color depth, support for HDR 10 and Dolby Vision formats, DC dimming, adaptive reading mode, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Complementing the screen is a four-speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos. Buyers get USB-C audio or four microphones for better audio pickup during audio or video calls.

Under the hood, the Android tablet sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, which features one 2.8GHz prime core, four 2.6GHz performance cores, and three 1.9GHz efficient cores. Alongside the capable CPU (which is based on 4nm fabrication tech), the chipset features the Adreno 732 GPU and a capable AI Engine that supports features like AI Writing, AI Live Subtitles, and Xiaomi Creation.
The Xiaomi Pad 7 ships with up to 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage. It is important to mention that the variant with 128GB of storage ships with UFS 3.1 storage. On the other hand, the 256GB variant ships with UFS 4.0 storage. Even so, both the models have LPDDR5X RAM. With the capable chipset and faster memory/storage, the tablet runs on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.
On the back panel, the tablet features a 13MP (f/2.2) camera that supports 4K video recording at 30 fps. On the front, buyers get an 8MP (f/2.28) ultrawide selfie shooter that can shoot 1080p videos at 30 fps. Powering the handset is an 8,850 mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging.

Connectivity options on the Xiaomi Pad 7 include Wi-Fi 6e, Wi-Fi Direct, Miracast, Bluetooth v5.4 (AAC/LDAC/LHDC 5.0), and Type-C USB 3.2 Gen 1 port for charging and wired data transfer.

As an introductory offer, buyers can avail of Rs. 1,000 discount using ICICI Bank credit cards. Further, there’s an option to avail up to six months of no-cost EMI as well. The tablet will be available to purchase from January 13, 2025.

With the tablet, Xiaomi unveiled a new floating keyboard (Rs. 8,999) that supports zero to 124-degree stepless adjustments.
