Along with the Xiaomi 17 series, the Chinese consumer technology brand has also unveiled two new Android tablets: the Xiaomi Pad 8 and the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro. They aren’t flagship tablets per se, but they provide enough performance and features to justify their price (at least their native Chinese pricing). So, without any further ado, here’s everything you need to know about the newly-launched Xiaomi tablets, their specifications, features, and price.

Xiaomi Pad 8 & Pad 8 Pro: Key Features

Xiaomi Pad 8 launched

The Xiaomi Pad 8 and the Pad 8 Pro sport an 11.2-inch LCD screen that supports a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate, has a resolution of 3200 x 2136 pixels, and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. Additional features include support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision content. Complementing the screen on the table is a quad speaker system that supports Dolby Atmos (with four microphones).

Under the hood, the Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, while the Pad 8 Pro gets the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The former is available with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the latter gets up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

Snapdragon 8 Elite

Out of the box, the tablets run on the Xiaomi Hyper OS 3 operating system that is based on Android 16. It offers features such as support for PC apps like CAD and WPS, cross-platform file transfer, and a secondary screen. Powering the tablets is a 9,200 mAh battery, which supports 45W wired charging on the Pad 8 and 67W wired charging on Pro.

Regarding optics, the Pad 8 gets a 13MP rear camera, paired with an 8MP front camera, while the Pro gets a 50MP primary camera, along with a 32MP front camera. Connectivity options on the tablet include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, and Miracast. Both tablets support accessories like the Focus Touch Pen Pro and the Floating Keyboard with mechanical keys.
