Xiaomi Redmi Book 14 goes official in China: Civi 3 smartphone to arrive on May 25

Tech Giant Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi A2 Series of smartphones in India. The series included Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ and is being tagged as the ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’ by the brand. It is priced under Rs. 10,000 and will go on sale today via Amazon and Mi.com.

Now, while this is all happening on the India front, the brand is also on a spree to launch various products in its home country China. Recently, Xiaomi under its Redmi brand has announced a new Redmi Book 14 laptop in the Redmi Book Series in China. Also, the launch date for Xiaomi Civi 3 smartphone has been announced.

The Redmi Book 14 comes in starlight silver and star gray colors and stats at 3699 yuan (Rs. 43,600) for the Intel Core i5 model. Let us have a look at its specs.

Redmi Book 14: Specifications

The Redmi Book 14 sports a 14.2-inch 8K display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 300 nits brightness, Dolby Vision, and DC Dimming. It is powered by Intel Core i5 and i7 processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. The book has 16GB RAM and 512GB storage and runs Windows 11 Home OS.

It comes with a backlight keyboard, 108p webcam, 3.5mm headphone jack, Dolby Atmos support, quad microphones, and loads of options for connectivity (WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.2, and more). The Redmi Book is 15.9mm thick and weighs 1.37kg. It packs a 56Wh battery with a 100W fast charging adapter. It is expected to arrive in India soon.

Xiaomi Civi 3 in China

The brand has confirmed that the Xiaomi Civi 3 which will be a female-focused smartphone will launch in China on May 25. The poster shows its rear design which has a circular camera module that looks different from all the other rear camera designs. It will come in 4 colorways- Rose Purple, Adventure Gold, Mint Green, and Coconut Gray.

The renders claim that the smartphone will have a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a quad-LED flash along with an ultrawide lens and a portrait lens as well. Reports claim it will be powered by Dimensity 8200 ultra chipset and sport a 6.55-inch curved AMOLED panel along with a 4500mAh battery and 67W rapid charging.

Xiaomi Civi 2 was launched globally as Xiaomi 13 Lite so this time as well Xiaomi Civi 3 might be launched globally as Xiaomi 14 Lite. Since Xiaomi 13 Lite did not come to India last year, the availability of Xiaomi 14 Lite for India still remains unclear.
