Xiaomi has started teasing Redmi K70E, a part of the Redmi K70 series in China, slated to arrive by the end of this month in China. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC which made its debut on Tuesday. Turns out the phone will be rebranded as POCO F6 5G and launched in India a few weeks down the line. Let’s take a closer look at what the K70E will bring to the table and without any doubt, POCO F6 5G should bring the same specs.

Xiaomi Redmi K70E teased

Xiaomi Redmi K70E, a part of Redmi’s highest-end sub-flagship K-series line, is launching this month. As the official teaser, it will bring onboard MediaTek Dimensity 8300. The teaser says Dimensity 8300-Ultra for which, the ‘Ultra’ could be implying added performance or simply a marketing thing.

The phone codenamed 2311DRK48C will bring onboard a 6.67” 1.5K OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and 1200 nits of peak brightness. There’s LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage support. The device uses a 5,500mAh battery under the hood paired with 90W wired charging. Its camera tech is expected to be a 64MP OIS plus 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP rear assembly. The phone weighs approx 198g and has a thickness of 8.05mm as per the teasers.

Xiaomi has also teased the AnTuTu v10 scores for Redmi K70E at 1,526,328 which is impressive. The flagship Dimensity 9300 SoC was able to cross the 2mn mark although D8300 is a sub-flagship cadre phone with generative AI capabilities.

Xiaomi Redmi K70E Spotted on IMDA as Poco F6 5G

For all the Indian Xiaomi enthusiasts waiting for the Redmi K70E, it won’t launch in India as usual. Rather, it will be rebranded to Poco F6 5G with model number 2311DRK481 as spotted on IMDA certification (Singapore) ensuring imminent launch.

Of course, there’s no official link between K70E and Poco F6 5G but we have been following Xiaomi’s launches for ages and there’s no doubt it will rebrand phones to launch in India and global markets.

Reports also suggest Redmi K70E/ POCO F6 5G sports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The Dimensity 8300 is capable of supporting Bluetooth v4.0 and 2×2 WiFi 6E which means both these models may support it too. Apart from that, the chipset has improved 5G downlink speeds from 4.70Gbps (D8200) to 5.17Gbps which should be great for anyone who loves speed.

Do note that we don’t have the exact date of launch for either the POCO F6 5G or the Redmi K70E. The latter belongs to the Redmi K70 series that has K70, K70 Pro, and K70E. There are bits of information on the web according to which, the Redmi K70 series could arrive in China later this month. It means the Indian launch for POCO F6 5G could be a few weeks from today i.e. early 2024 but take it with a pinch of salt.
