After launching a successful Redmi Note 11 Series in 2022, Xiaomi is now all set to move a step ahead. The brand has announced that it will launch the next Note Series, the Redmi Note 12 Series in China on October 27. The Note 12 Series is expected to have at least 3 devices- Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G & Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G. However, there might be an extreme edition variant called the Redmi Note 12 Ultra that might also launch, but nothing concrete can be said about this 4th device. Meanwhile, some specs of the Note 12 Series smartphones have also been revealed. Read on to find out what we know so far.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Series Specs (Confirmed & Expected)

Xiaomi itself has confirmed some important specs of its Note 12 Series smartphones. The Note 12 Pro+ 5G will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1080 6nm chipset. This new chipset has a peak speed of 2.6GHz. Some renders that have been shared confirm that the Note 12 Series will also have a glass body design just like its predecessor. The back will be made of AG fluorite glass and the frame will be flat. The Note 12 Pro will feature a Sony IMX766 50MP sensor with OIS at the back. Both the Pro models in the Note 12 Series are confirmed to get a triple camera setup at the back. The colorways will include Blue, Pink, and Black, though more options might be seen at the launch.

Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G will have a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HPX sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size. The brand says that the Samsung ISOCELL HPX is about 24% bigger than the Sony IMX766. The brand will be using Sony IMX766 sensor on the Note 12 Pro model.

Some other reports have claimed that the base Note 12 model will have a 50MP main sensor at the back along with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro lens. It might come with 67W fast charging support. The Note 12 Pro & Pro+ 5G might come with 120W and 210W fast charging speeds. The charging speeds were revealed when the devices were spotted on the 3C certification website. The Pro models are also expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate and feature a curved display along with a 5000mAh battery under the hood.

Redmi Note 12 Series India Launch

The Redmi Note 12 has made an appearance on the IMEI Database and BIS certification websites. It was spotted on the IMEI Database with model number 22101316G. The BIS certification website has also seen the Note 12 model with model number 22101316I. However, it is not clear if the variant that was seen on BIS and IMEI was the same as the China model, so the Note 12 Series devices that launch in India might be different from the ones coming to China. Xiaomi might launch the Redmi Note 12 Series in India and other global markets in February or March 2023.
