Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G to launch on March 28 in China

Xiaomi is all set to add one more member to the Redmi Note 12 Series for their China market. The company has already launched the Note 12 Series in China and India, however, now it has confirmed the China launch date of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G smartphone. A new teaser from Xiaomi on Weibo confirms that the phone will launch on March 28 in the home country. Some key specs and designs have also been revealed in the teaser. It will be the first smartphone in the world to be powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G: Details

As mentioned above, Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G will be powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC which is a trimmed-down variant of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The newest SoC is built on a 4nm process with a tri-cluster setup. It has one prime core clocked at 2.91GHz, 3 performance cores at 2.5GHz, four efficiency cores at 1.8GHz, and Adreno 725 GPU. The company claims that it will be 50% more powerful and 13% more efficient than Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The brand has also confirmed that the chipset will support LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The teaser image reveals that the Note 12 Turbo will sport a 64MP primary camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a flat display, and a metal frame.

3C listing earlier confirmed that the smartphone will support 67W fast charging tech, while Digital Chat Station confirmed that it will pack a 5500mAh battery under the hood. Reports also claim that the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G will sport a 6.67-inch OLED panel with FHD+ resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate along with a centered punch hole. The chipset will be paired with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage and the device will run Android 13 out of the box.

The triple camera setup at the back will have a 64MP primary, and two 2MP macro and depth lenses. It will also have an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
