Redmi is preparing to introduce its inaugural A-Series smartphone featuring 5G technology, with the launch of the Redmi A4 5G scheduled for tomorrow in India. This budget-friendly 5G device is equipped with the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset, making it the most economical 5G option available in the country. Additionally, Xiaomi shows no signs of slowing down this December, as it has begun teasing the upcoming launch of the Redmi Note 14 Series in India. Given that the teasers have been released since mid-November, the official launch is expected to occur soon.

Redmi Note 14 Series: Teaser

Xiaomi recently utilized its official X account to release teasers indicating that the Redmi Note 14 Series is set to launch in India shortly, likely in December 2024. Should the Redmi Note 14 Series debut in December 2024, it would be approximately one month ahead of the Redmi Note 13 Series, which was introduced in January 2024. Although the teaser does not explicitly mention the series name, the tagline ‘A Noteworthy Reveal’ strongly suggests the arrival of the Redmi Note 14 Series.

Redmi Note 14 Series: Details

The Redmi Note 14 Series is set to feature three smartphones: the Redmi Note 14 5G, Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G. These devices have already been introduced in China and are now preparing for release in additional markets. It is possible that the global versions of the Redmi Note 14 Series will differ in certain aspects from their Chinese counterparts.

The flagship model, Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G, features a 200MP main sensor, specifically the Samsung S5HKP3 camera, complemented by an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide camera and a 50MP telephoto lens on the rear. In contrast, the Redmi Note 14 Pro shares the same primary and ultrawide cameras but replaces the telephoto lens with a 2MP macro sensor. In the Chinese market, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera, whereas the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus utilizes a 50MP OmniVision OVX8000 sensor.

The Redmi Note 14 and Note 14 Pro Plus are anticipated to feature a 6.67-inch curved edge OLED display, boasting a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Regarding the chipset, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is likely to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra, while the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus may utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC. Both models are expected to have an IP69 rating and will reportedly operate on Android 14 along with HyperOS 2.0 in the global market.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro is equipped with a 5500mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging, while the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus features a more substantial 6200mAh battery with an impressive 90W wired fast charging capability in China.
