Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro With MediaTek Helio G90T To Launch in India on October 16

Xiaomi after all the teasing has launched its Redmi 8 in India. During the online launch, it also announced Redmi Note 8 Pro India launch date. As we previously reported, the 64MP Quad Camera phone is set to land in India on October 16. If you recall, the phone made its homeland debut on August 29, 2019. With it, Xiaomi jumped the Qualcomm ship. Thus, it comes powered by MediaTek Helio G90T chipset.

Here’s a quick rundown of its features.

Redmi Note 8 Pro highlights

Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There is a teardrop cut atop which houses the phone’s 20MP selfie snapper.

It embellishes 3 color variants – White, Jade Green, and Grey. Swivel to the back, where you’ll see its vertical camera lineup. The primary camera is a 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera (2cm focal distance) and a 2MP depth sensor.

As aforementioned, it ships with Mediatek Helio G90T silicon. At the China launch event, Redmi claimed the chip can outsmart the 730 and 710 SoCs on the basis of Antutu benchmark scores.

Redmi Note 8 Pro draws from a 4500mAh battery bolstered by an 18W fast charger that’s USB Power Delivery (QC4.0+ and Pump Express) complaint. The phone has a USB-C socket and a 3.5mm audio jack.
