Xiaomi has announced its first locally made smartwatch in the country. Redmi Watch Move has debuted in India, which has been manufactured at Optiemus’s factory in Noida. It is equipped with premium features like AOD, AMOLED display, Bluetooth calling, and much more. The watch aims at everyday fitness and wellness tracking and represents a push towards domestic production in the country. Talking about the launch, Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer, Xiaomi India, says, “The Redmi Watch Move combines the features that matter most to Indian users: dependable performance, accurate fitness tracking, and a premium yet comfortable design. As our first locally manufactured smartwatch, it reflects our commitment to creating products that are thoughtfully built for the Indian market.”

Redmi Watch Move: Price & Availability

The Redmi Watch Move is priced at Rs. 1999. Pre-orders will begin on 24th April at 12 PM via mi.com and Flipkart. It will come in Silver Sprint, Black Drift, Blue Blaze, and Gold Rush hues.

Redmi Watch Move: Features

The Redmi Watch Move sports a 1.85-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED display with a 390×450 resolution, 600 nits brightness and AOD along with a 74% screen to body ratio. The watch has a functional crown and customizable layouts and they get antibacterial and skin-friendly quick release straps for easy switching. The functional crown allows tap, scroll, and long-press actions for AI Q&A, power off, and force restart.

Users can customize the smartwatch with 5 layouts and explore over 200 watch faces through Mi Fitness app. The watch supports Hindi, features India-inspired designs and includes festive watch faces for various occasions. The company claims up to 14 days of battery life on single charge and a 10-minute quick charge for two days of usage. The watch can last up to five days with AOD enabled.

Health monitoring features include sleep tracking, all-day heart rate, SpO2, stress tracking, and female health monitoring. There are guided breathing exercises too to support stress management. The smartwatch has over 140 workout modes and is IP68 rated for withstanding submersion up to 1.5m for 30 minutes. It runs HyperOS and supports Bluetooth calling, quick reply options and a dial pad to access call history.
