Xiaomi Smart Living 2020 Announcement: Mi Band 4, Mi TV, Mi Smart Water Purifier, Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2

Xiaomi India held its Smart Living 2020 event in Bengaluru on Tuesday, September 17. At the gala launch, Manu Kumar Jain and his team introduced as many as five new devices including Mi Band 4, Mi 4K LED TV, Mi Smart Water Purifier, Mi Soundbar and Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2.

Xiaomi Mi Band 4, Mi TV, Mi Smart Water Purifier, Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2: Pricing, Availability

The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is offered in five colors – Orange, Purple, Black, Burgundy, and Beige. For the Indian market, the Mi Band 4 is priced at Rs 2,299 and will go on sale on Flipkart starting from September 19.

The  Xiaomi Mi Soundbar will now also retail in black color option priced at Rs 4,999.

Literally the biggest announcement of the day was 65-inch Mi TV 4X which is to retail for Rs 54,999. The 50-inch Mi TV 4X variant will be made available at Rs 29,999. The 43-inch and 40-inch Mi TV 4A are priced at Rs 24,999 and Rs 17,999, respectively. All these will be available starting September 29 on Flipkart.

Xiaomi also introduced its Mi Smart Water Purifier which is priced at Rs 11,999 and it will be available on Flipkart from September 29 onwards.

Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2 is also announced today which will be on a crowdfunding sale starting 18 September at a special price of Rs. 500.

Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Highlights

The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 features a 0.95-inch AMOLED touchscreen display which has 240 x 120 pixels resolution. The Mi Band 4 has features such as heart-rate sensor, step counter and more. The biggest addition in Mi band is an inbuilt digital assistant, which is to say it now listens to to voice commands.

As for connectivity, the new Mi Band supports Bluetooth and NFC. It is also rated for 5-ATM water resistance and six-axis accelerometer.

The Mi Band 4 includes a 135mAh battery which is a step up from the 110 mAh power unit in Mi Band 3.

New 4K LED Mi TVs

First and the biggest announcement of today’s Smart Living 2020 event was Mi TV 4X 65-inch. The display has ‘Vivid Picture Engine’ which is a proprietary technology. Apart from that, the new Mi 4X TV comes with a ‘Reality Flow Chip’ that can scale 24 fps content to 60 fps. The 65-inch TV display packs 3840 x 2160 pixels and supports HDR10.

Like all Xioami TVs, this one also runs on Android-based Patchwall. Apart from 65-inch, the new Mi 4X TVs will be offered in 43-inch and 50-inch screen sizes.

Mi Smart Water Purifier

Xiaomi Mi Smart Water Purifier will now also be available to Indian consumers. The Mi Smart Water Purifier has a five-stage purification process. It comes with three cartridges for filtering the water and two TDS sensors to measure input and output values. It is connected with Mi Home app through which one can track water TDS levels in real-time.

The Mi App will notify consumers when the filter has to be replaced. Users will also be able to order replacement filters right from within the app. The company says it has made filter cartridges replacement process seamless and doesn’t require any professional assistance.

Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2

The Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2 which debuted in China sometime back has touched Indian shores as crowdfunding product. As the name suggests, the Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2 lights up when it detects motion.
