JioCinema’s Yearly Subscription Plan Isn’t Available Anymore

If you’re wondering where JioCinema’s Premium annual plan is, you’re not alone. According to several reports, the OTT platform has discontinued its Rs. 299 yearly plan. Initially, the plan cost Rs. 999, but to make it available to a broader audience, the platform discounted the price by about 70 percent.

In the absence of the yearly plan, JioCinema currently offers two subscription plans. The Premium monthly plan costs Rs. 29 for one user, while the family plan costs Rs. 89. Doing the math, the 12-month subscription cost would come out to be Rs. 348, which is why the Rs. 299 made a lot of sense. However, due to the heavy discount, the annual plan could have become a loss-making venture.
