Xiaomi Mi 5

Xiaomi has today officially introduced its new flagship handset, the Mi 5 which includes a beautiful design, powerful chipset and impressive camera hardware. Flagship traits like QHD display and 4GB RAM are missing (only the top 128GB variant has 4GB RAM), but the focus here is best possible user experience at lowest possible price. The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available in 3 different storage variants, all powered by Snapdragon 820 quad core chipset clocked at different frequencies. The 32GB variant has Snapdragon 820 clocked at 1.8 GHz, while the 64GB and 128GB models have the same clocked at 2.2 GHz. All Xiaomi Mi 5 variants have 5.15 inch Full HD displays, layered with 3D glass on top. Right below the display, you will see a physical home button (first one for Xiaomi) that integrates a fingerprint sensor. For photography, there is 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.0 aperture lens, PDAF, 4-axis OIS and 4K video recording. The front 4MP camera with large 2 micrometer size pixels will handle all selfie needs. Other features include 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band (MIMO), Dual SIM card support, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. The lowest price of Xiaomi Mi 5 32GB, 64 GB and 128GB will be 1999 Yuan, 2299 Yuan and 2699 Yuan respectively in China. Mi 5 will go on sale first in China on 1st March, 2016. Next it will arrive in India. Since Xiaomi is already slated to launch Redmi Note 3 next month we don’t expect the Mi 5 to arrive in next few weeks. Xiaomi Mi5 India price is expected to start from 22,999 INR.
