At the WWDC 2022, Apple released a handful of products and it seems like the Cupertino-based giant is not stopping soon. With that latest report in mind, Apple is likely to unveil new Macs next year which include a 15-inch MacBook Air and an updated 12-inch MacBook with an M2 chipset under the hood.

Apple to unveil new Macs in 2023

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is highly speculated to launch a 15-inch MacBook Air that makes it the largest in the MacBook Air lineup. Apart from that, the second is a 12-inch MacBook which makes it the smallest after the last one arrived in 2019.

13.6-inch MacBook Air

The 15-inch MacBook Air will act as a larger variant of the current-gen 13.6-inch MacBook Air paired with an M2 chipset, and sleek chassis with a notch on top. It is speculated to arrive sometime in the Spring of 2023 as per Bloomberg. Heading towards the second is a 12-inch MacBook which is likely to make its debut in late 2023 or early 2024. It will be the smallest variant after 2019 when Apple released a 12-inch MacBook.

If that’s not all, Apple is likely working on upcoming versions of the MacBook Pro dubbed J414 (14-inch) and J416 (16-inch) that are expected to debut at the end of 2022 or next year. These two laptops will be powered by M2 Pro and M2 Mac chipsets where both of these SoCs are yet unannounced. What we know about the M2 Max chipsets is that it sports a 12-core CPU with up to 38-core GPU. To put things into context, the current-gen M1 Max chipset sports a 10-core CPU and up to 32-core GPU configuration.

MacBook Air 15-inch

If that’s not all, there’s a revamped Mac Pro and Mac mini in the works as well. The Cupertino-based giant is actively working on an M3 chipset that could power upcoming iMac and Mac products in the future.

For what it is worth, we will have to wait for more information on the upcoming launches. Without being said, there’s a launch event in Sep/Oct where Apple will launch iPhone 14 series reportedly powered by a 5nm A16 Bionic chipsets limited to the Pro variants while the non-Pro variants will get an A15 SoC under the hood.
