2025 Hyundai Venue vs. Competition: Key Takeaways

- When it comes to dimensions, the 2025 Hyundai Venue maintains its 3995 mm length to get the tax benefit for sub-4 meter cars. However, the car is slightly wider (1800 mm) and taller than the outgoing model. But even so, the Mahindra 3XO (1821 mm) is the widest in the comparison, followed by the Nexon (1804 mm). When it comes to headroom, the Venue (1665 mm) only runs behind the Brezza (1685 mm).
- Although the new Venue offers a larger boot than the outgoing model (25 liters), the Skoda Kylaq (446 liters) has the largest boot in the comparison, followed by the Kia Syros (393 liters) and the Kia Sonet (385 liters).
- The ground clearance remains the same as the old Venue: 195 mm. If you want the highest ground clearance in the segment, go with the Nexon (208 mm) or the Kia Sonet (205 mm).
- The title for the longest wheelbase in the comparison remains with the Mahindra 3XO (2600 mm), followed by the Skoda Kylaq (2566 mm), and then the Kia Syros (2550 mm). Even so, the Venue’s wheelbase (2520 mm) is longer than the Brezza, Kia Sonet (both at 2500 mm), and the Tata Nexon (2498 mm).
- When it comes to engines, only three of the seven options in the segment feature a naturally aspirated petrol engine, and the Venue is one of them. It features the tried-and-tested 1.2L four-cylinder NA engine, producing 82 hp and 115 Nm. While these figures are similar to the Kia Sonet (which uses the same engine), the Maruti Brezza remains the most powerful vehicle with an NA petrol engine.
- When it comes to turbo-petrol engines, the Venue features a three-cylinder engine that delivers power comparable to that of other vehicles. The Syros and the Sonet feature the same engine, whereas the turbo engine on the Kylaq and Nexon produces similar power. However, all the cars trail the Mahindra 3XO, which has a 1197 cc mStallion engine producing 200 Nm of peak torque.

- Hyundai is also using the renowned 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that also powers models like the Sonet, Syros, Creta, and Seltos. Those with over 2,000 kilometers of monthly running can go with the engine. However, if you want the most punchy experience in the comparison, you should consider the Mahindra 3XO.
- The Maruti Brezza still features the largest fuel tank in the segment (48 liters), while the Venue features a 45-liter tank (larger than the Mahindra 3XO).
- Most vehicles feature up to 17-inch alloy wheels. All of them come with six airbags as standard.
