Acer Chromebook Spin 513 debuts with Snapdragon 7c and 4G connectivity

Acer has unveiled a slew of products in its big October launch event. Among the bunch, there is this ARM-powered Chrome OS laptop with 4G capabilities. Its name is Chromebook Spin 513 and it runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7c processor. The company makes a 14 hours battery life claim outta this laptop. Let’s see what else packs inside.

True to its spin-label and thanks to a 360-degree hinge, the Acer laptop can convert into multiple form factors. Upfront, it is flaunting a 13.3-inch full HD IPS touchscreen with a 78 percent screen-to-body ratio.

As you know by now, the Chromebook is engined by an 8nm Snapdragon 7c chip paired with Adreno 617 GPU. Now, although it’s an entry-grade processor and weak on performance, it should compensate for efficiency. Or so, Qualcomm claims. Even Acer shoots up to 14-hour runtime from this machine. We will know about 7C’s performance and endurance once the laptops start hitting the stores.

Spin 513 also features 4G LTE, up to 8GB of RAM, 128GB storage, two USB-C ports, a USB-A socket, and an optional backlit keyboard. With all these, the laptop weighs just 1.197kg and is 0.61 inches in thickness.

Acer Chromebook Spin 513 Price and Availability

Acer has launched the Chromebook Spin 513 in North America and will go on sale in February 2021 starting at $399.99 (~Rs. 29,598). There is also an Enterprise edition, which will release later in March 2021 starting at $699.99 (~Rs. 51798). The company hasn’t revealed the global availability (including India) details yet.
