Samsung Galaxy A18 4G Geekbench Leak Confirms Helio G99, 4GB RAM and Android 17 Debut

A Geekbench listing for the unannounced Galaxy A18 4G has surfaced, confirming the phone uses the same MediaTek Helio G99 chipset found in last year’s Galaxy A17 4G. Model numbers SM-A185G and SM-A185F appear in the database.

The Helio G99 is a 6nm processor with two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz, six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The tested unit carried 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Single-core scores landed at 745 and multi-core at 2,073, essentially identical to the A17.

The bigger detail is software. The listing shows Android 17 with One UI 9 already installed. This would make the A18 4G one of the first non-flagship Samsung phones to launch with the current software generation rather than trailing behind, effectively skipping One UI 8.5 on this model.

Design is expected to carry over from the A17, including the waterdrop (Infinity-U) notch, similar camera hardware and comparable battery capacity. Samsung has not announced a launch date, but an autumn 2026 release for the 4G variant looks likely, with a 5G version expected later.
