OnePlus 6T prices slashed ahead of OnePlus 7 Launch; Mclaren Edition back in stock

OnePlus phones have gradually become the highest demanded phones in the global market. As the next iteration, i.e. OnePlus 7 is around the corner, the brand has cleverly dropped the price of its prevailing phone. The company has slashed the OnePlus 6T prices by RMB 400 which roughly converts to Rs 4,146.

Yes, from RMB 3,399 (approximately Rs 35,000), the One Plus 6T (review) prices have dropped to RMB 2,999 (about Rs 31,004) for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant. Well, as far for the 8GB/128GB configuration, the price has lowered to CNY 3,199 (around Rs 33,000), while the 8GB/256GB variant will cost CNY 3,599 (approx. Rs 37,240). While the company hasn’t announced any price cuts for the Indian customers, it has brought the special Mclaren edition (review) back in stock on Amazon India.

To recall, the OnePlus 6T flaunts a 6.41-inch AMOLED screen(19.5:9) with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution and a waterdrop notch. The display is protected by Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass 6. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 Octa-core chipset backed with Adreno 630. The phone houses a 3700 mAh battery coupled with OnePlus Fast Charge ensuring a good endurance.

On the rear, we have a 16MP + 20MP f/1.7 aperture dual camera setup supported by an LED flash. The rear camera module on this new handset is equipped with features like Nightscape, enhanced HDR mode and super slow motion video capture. On the front, we have a similar 16MP selfie camera which also got its fair share of software optimizations.

Upfront, it sports an in-display fingerprint sensor by ditching the widely used capacitive sensor. The phone comes out of the box with the latest Android Pie based OxygenOS which is creme la de creme of Android software.

Now, coming to the special Mclaren edition which is available for a limited time, this is a pumped-up variant. It runs on a whopping 10GB RAM. Then there is 30W Warp Charge that promises a days’ power with a mere 20 minutes of charging. Rest, there are few aesthetic difference and some interesting software bells and whistles from McLaren.
