Amazfit is about to launch yet another smartwatch in India – the Amazfit Active Edge. Most recently, the company teased the upcoming wearable through an Amazon microsite, which revealed quite a lot of details. The teaser comes shortly after the company released the Amazfit Active, a Rs. 12,999 wearable with a rectangular display and several health and fitness monitoring features.

Amazfit Active Edge To Arrive In Three Colors

The Amazon microsite reveals that the smartwatch will ship in three colors, including Lava Black, Midnight Pulse, and Mint Green. From the images, it is clear that the wearable will carry a rugged look, with a bulky exterior that houses four buttons around the circular dial. The microsite also reveals that the watch will have a 10ATM water resistance rating, meaning it should survive swimming or other light water-based workouts.

Users To Get Plenty Of Health And Fitness Related Features

The Amazfit Active Edge will come with over 100 watch faces. Users can also customize some of them to highlight the information that is important to them. Then there’s an option to upload a picture and set it as a watch face, too. The microsite also reveals that the smartwatch can last up to 16 days of typical usage and about 10 days on heavy usage. However, with continuous GPS usage, the battery life goes down to 20 hours.

Regarding fitness-related features, the Amazfit Active Edge can track users’ heart rate, blood-oxygen levels, and stress. It has over 130 sports modes, including auto-detection for seven workouts, including outdoor running, treadmills, walking, cycling, etc. It also detects 25 strength exercises. Then there’s the Zepp Coach, who recommends personalized workout schedules based on users’ training and progress.

Another key selling point of the smartwatch is its five satellite positioning systems and route navigating feature that provides accurate route tracking for outdoor workouts.

Amazfit Active Edge Expected Price In India

While those are all the features of the upcoming smartwatch, its price and availability are unknown. The Amazfit Active Edge is available in the United States for $139.99, which is about Rs. 11,620. Further, the Amazfit Active launched in India for Rs. 12,999. Hence, we’re expecting the Active Edge to arrive at a slightly lower price. It should be available on Amazon and other retail partners by the end of February.
