AMD Ryzen AI 300 series features
First, let’s discuss the Ryzen AI 300 series processors, which, per the company, pave the way for a future full of AI-infused computing. Built on the new AMD XDNA 2 architecture, the processors are Copilot+ ready. The new NPU offers 50 TOPS of AI processing power with three times the AI engine performance of the second generation of AMD Ryzen AI. The chips are equipped with up to 12 high-performance CPU cores with 24 threads and 50 percent more cache memory over the Zen 4 processors.
With a dedicated AI engine, the Ryzen AI series can handle local AI workloads, content generation, and workflow automation. Further, the processors also feature the new AMD Radeon 800M series of graphics processors (based on the latest AMD RDNA 3.5 graphics architecture). Moreover, the Ryzen AI 300 Series provides lightning-fast performance, exceptional battery life, and console-class gaming on the go.
The AMD Ryzen AI 300 series consists of two processors
- The AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 comes with 10 processing cores (20 threads) and a boost frequency of 5.0GHz. The chipset has a total cache memory of 34MB, an AMD Radeon 880M graphics processor, and an NPU with 50 TOPS processing power.
- The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 comes with 12 processing cores (24 threads) and a boost frequency of 5.1GHz. The chipset has a total cache memory of 36MB, an AMD Radeon 890M graphics processor, and an NPU with 50 TOPS processing power.
With respect to AI and related workflows, AMD has partnered with OEM partners like Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo, and MSI. These manufacturers, in the near future, will announce more AI PCs powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series.
