Apple Intelligence was talked about for the first time during last month’s iPhone 16 Series launch event. Though the iPhone 16 series has already gone on sale, Apple fans are still waiting for Apple AI/Intelligence to roll out for them. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claims that Apple will roll out Apple Intelligence in not one or two but as many as four stages. The first update as announced will be available on 28th October for the general public.

Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.1 to iOS 18.4 versions
Gurman claims that the first update aka iOS 18.1 will have very limited Apple Intelligence features. For the general public, there will be one major feature- Notification summaries. Notification summaries will compile notifications from various apps, that will include third-party apps into a concise overview.
The second phase aka iOS 18.2 will roll out in in December 2024. It will come with ChatGPT Integration, Image Playground, and Genmoji generation features. The ChatGPT integration will, with user permission be able to show ChatGPT answers directly in response to questions and other prompts. Apple Genmoji generation will be in the keyboard to match any conversation and all you need to do is provide a description to see the preview of emoji. Image Playground will produce fun, original images in seconds.

The third phase will be iOS 18.3 which will be available in January 2025 but that won’t be much of an update. The major update will be iOS 18.4 which will come out in March 2025. It will include a redesign for Siri as it will now be able to interface with apps on your phone to carry out actions you may ask it to. It will comb through personal data to answer questions as well.
Although complete details are still under wraps, yes this is the basic outline of how Apple will roll out Apple Intelligence and what features it would entail.
