TL;DR
  • Apple will announce iOS 26 during WWDC 2025.
  • iOS 26 will come with 10+ new exciting features.
  • These include new AI features, a New Look for apps, and better eSIM support.

Apple is preparing to launch iOS 26 at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9. If initial reports are accurate, this year’s iPhone software update promises to be anything but ordinary.

While iOS 18 emphasized “Apple Intelligence” with features such as email summarization and the Clean Up tool in Photos, iOS 26, which follows iOS 18, is anticipated to pivot its focus, introducing significant visual updates, enhanced system tools, and an unexpected new naming convention. Here are 10+ new capabilities we expect iOS 26 to get.

These include Siri’s AI upgrades, iPhone battery improvements, and third-party AI integrations in addition to ChatGPT. New Health app with Apple Health+ subscription will include features like food logging, educational videos, and an AI coach, while end-to-end encryption and RCS upgrades are coming to Messages.

11. There will be a stage manager on the external display that will make usage much better.

Apple will also announce updates to macOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, and more during WWDC 2025.
