The only exceptions were in 2020 and 2021, when the pandemic disrupted production schedules and forced later reveals.
If we apply this consistent formula to 2025, the most probable event date is Tuesday, September 9, with the invite going out on Tuesday, August 26. For Indian viewers, that translates to a 10:30 PM IST livestream start, a timing Apple has stuck to for years.
If the event does land on September 9, pre-orders are almost certain to begin on Friday, September 12, with the first batch of devices reaching customers on Friday, September 19.

What Can We Expect At the Event?
The iPhone 17 family is expected to consist of four models: the standard iPhone 17, the all-new ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air replacing the Plus, and the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max variants. The Pro Max could see the most ambitious upgrades, including a new telephoto camera with up to 8X optical zoom, a vapor chamber cooling system, and a 5,000 mAh battery.
