Being the second-largest smartphone market in the world, India must be very lucrative for Apple’s future prospects. Thus, the Cupertino-based brand seems to be making all the right moves in establishing a strong presence in the subcontinent. The company is set to launch its first online store in the country on September 23.

Tim Cook tweeted the big news this morning —

The new Apple Online Store for India currently invites you to its premiere day and displays the various services you’ll get at this portal. This includes Apple’s full range of products, of course, and premium support found in Apple store locations across the globe.

The online Apple Specialists will help you with anything from custom-configuring any Mac to setting up new devices. Customers can get advice, receive guidance, and learn about new products directly from Apple, both in English and Hindi.

There’ll be financing options and a trade-in program for easing the purchase. Additionally, Apple is offering special pricing, discounts on accessories, and AppleCare+ to students.

As an introductory offer, in October, customers can expect free online ‘Today at Apple’ sessions led by local Creative Pros, focused on photography and music.

Also, as holidays are around the corner, you can get the gifts specially wrapped and or have personalized engraving of emoji or text on Airpods (in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu), and iPad and Apple Pencil (in English).

Considering the new normal, Apple will adhere to contactless delivery. If the orders do not require a signature, they will be left at the customer’s door and even if a verbal confirmation is required, the same will be taken from a safe distance.

Different from tradition, Apple will be promoting the online store launch for a few days in India.

“We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.”
