Apple Spring Event 2022 Highlights: Mac Studio, iPad Air, Studio Display announced

Apple just hosted its first event of 2022 and the company announced a host of products that claim to give the best performance. The event focused on powerful chipsets, iPad, iPhone SE, and a Studio Display. Read on to know more.

iPhone 13 & 13 Pro in Green Color

Apple began the event by announcing the new color variant for the existing iPhone 13 and 13 Pro. People can pre-order 13 in green and iPhone 13 Pro in alpine green starting Friday.

iPhone SE 2022

One of the major launches was the announcement of the next SE phone from the house of Apple. iPhone SE 2022 costs 429 dollars for the base variant which means its India price is Rs. 43,900, similar to the iPhone SE 2020 range. Read more about the iPhone SE 2022 here.

iPad Air 5

iPad Air is now powered by the M1 chip and has 5G connectivity. It sports a 12MP ultrawide front camera with support for Centre Stage on FaceTime. Its starting price is 599 dollars and in India, it starts at Rs. 54,900 for the Wi-Fi-only version, which is the same price as the older iPad Air. The Wi-Fi+ Cellular models will start at Rs. 68,900.

New Mac Studio

A new Mac has been announced by the company with the powerful M1 Ultra SoC. It is one of the most powerful desktops from Apple to date and will come with the M1 MAX chipset option. The desktop aims at professionals and will have up to 128GB RAM on the M1 Ultra variant. Mac Studio comes with multiple ports for connectivity and it can connect with up to 4 displays at the same time. The Mac Studio will come with multiple M1 chips. The M1 Max Mac Studio comes with 64GB of unified memory. It starts at 1999 dollars.

M1 Ultra Chipset

With this one last chip has been added to the Apple family in the form of M1 Ultra. With this chipset, the company brings low latency, massive bandwidth, and power efficiency and performs eight times faster than the original M1 chip. It has a powerful 20 core CPU and a huge 64core GPU.  It will deliver more power than fellow 16 core CPUs. The chip variant for Mac Studio will cost 3999 dollars.

Studio Display

Apple has launched the new Studio display with an Aluminium chassis. It features a 27-inch display that can have up to 600 nits of brightness and supports over a billion colors. It also supports Apple True Tone and comes with an anti-reflective coating. It has an additional A13 bionic chip inside it. It features a 12MP ultrawide camera and supports Centre Stage. The display has studio-quality microphones and features a 6-speaker system for delivering a balanced sound along with support for Spatial Audio. 2 new magic keyboards and mouse for the New Studio Display have been launched too. Apple Studio Display starts at 1599 dollars.
