The Vivo X200 Series Could Be The First To Debut With Dimensity 9400 SoC

While there aren’t many companies that have confirmed releasing phones with the Dimensity 9400 SoC, vivo is among the few exceptions. Earlier this week, the company confirmed featuring MediaTek’s latest chipset on its upcoming flagship series, the vivo X200. The lineup will go official in China on October 14, 2024.
Last year, vivo took two months before dropping to the X100 Pro (review) series in India, but even so, it was the first manufacturer to release a Dimensity 9300-powered smartphone in India. Although it could follow the same product cycle this year, there’s a chance that it might pre-pone the launch to have an advantage over the flagships coming in the first quarter of 2025.
For those catching up, the vivo X200 series consists of three smartphones: the vanilla vivo X200, the vivo X200 Pro, and the vivo X200 Pro mini. While all the phones will feature the Dimensity 9400 SoC, the regular and the Pro version could come with a 6.8-inch display, while the mini could sport a 6.3-inch display. Although all the handsets will feature a 50MP triple-rear camera, the X200 Pro flaunts a 200MP periscope zoom sensor.
Oppo Find X8 Might Be The First With Dimensity 9400 SoC In India

After the X200 series, Vivo’s sister company Oppo will join the race by pulling the curtain off the Find X8 series in China on October 24, 2024. What’s exciting is that the smartphones in the lineup, Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, are confirmed to launch in India. Although the timeline isn’t public yet, Oppo could unveil the phones in India by the end of this year, between November and December.
While the regular Find X8 will sport a 6.6-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED screen, the Find X8 Pro will have a larger 6.8-inch quad-curved screen. Under the hood, both phones will run on the Dimensity 9400 SoC. The Find X8 will flaunt a triple 50MP camera setup, while the Find X8 Pro will come with a fourth 6x periscope sensor.
Both the phones have a similar 5,700/5,800 mAh battery that will support 80W fast wired charging. Last but not least, the smartphones will run on ColorOS 15, which, according to a viral video, beats iOS 18 at animations.

Samsung Galaxy S25 And S25 Plus Are Rumored To Feature Dimensity 9400

Usually, Samsung relies on either Exynos or Snapdragon chips for its Galaxy S series iterations. In January 2024, the Galaxy S24 series debuted with Exynos 2400 SoC on the regular S24 (review) and the S24 Plus (review), while the S24 Ultra (review) featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. However, that might change with the S25 series, which, according to a now-deleted statement in the Google Deepmind blog, could feature a “Dimensity Flagship 5G” chipset.
Although the design of the S25 series will remain similar to its predecessor, all the models might feature a slightly larger display. All the models could get a new 50MP ultrawide camera alongside an upgraded LPDDR6 RAM. Although the phones will ship with the same battery cells as their predecessors, they should last longer, thanks to the shift to the latest-generation 3nm fabrication technology.
Out of the box, the smartphones will run on the One UI 7.1 operating system.
The iQoo Neo 10 Pro Could Arrive With Dimensity 9400 SoC Next Year

After the success of the iQoo Neo 9 Pro (review), the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is gearing up to release the mid-ranger’s successor: iQoo Neo 10 Pro. Even though the smartphone isn’t expected until December 2024, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station suggests it will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC. After its debut in China, the iQoo Neo 10 series model could arrive in India in a month or two.
Although there’s not much information about the series on the internet, the little we know comes from the tipster. Besides sporting the latest Dimensity chip, the iQoo Neo 10 Pro could come with a metal middle frame. Further, the phone is said to rock an over 6,000 mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging. Last but not least, the phone could flaunt a 1.5K AMOLED screen with minimal bezels.

Redmi K80 Ultra Might Come With The Dimensity 9400 SoC As Well

Given that a member of the Redmi K70 series, the K70 Ultra, featured the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset, there’s a chance that the Redmi K80 Ultra could also launch with the new flagship Dimensity chipset. However, not much is known about the smartphone at the moment.
