BMW has opened bookings for the M2 xDrive Turbo Edition in India. Allocation is first-come, first-served. It goes without saying, but only a limited number will arrive, though no unit count has been given. The price, meanwhile, should be unveiled in the coming weeks.
For those catching up, this is the second M2 special edition here with xDrive, BMW’s all-wheel-drive system, after the 100 Jahre Nürburgring Edition.

BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition: A 1973 Tribute With Modern Muscle
The M2 xDrive Turbo Edition draws inspiration from the BMW 2002 Turbo, a sedan that arrived in 1973. That was the year the entire world was struggling with an oil crisis (needless to say, the M2 xDrive’s timing couldn’t be better, as we’re struggling with both energy and economic issues in 2026).
Talking about the M2’s looks, it starts with Alpine White paint and hand-painted BMW Motorsport stripes, which add a personal touch. A black finish covers the power dome, the raised section of the bonnet. Interestingly, “Turbo” is spelled backward, which echoes how it was spelled on the original version. The backward lettering was meant for the driver ahead to read in the rearview mirror.
Carbon fiber covers the roof, tailgate, and rear spoiler. Rounding out the signature look are the optional Gold Bronze 19/20-inch forged wheels.

Inside, I’d point you to the carbon bucket seats. Underneath sits the familiar 3.0-liter straight-six turbo-petrol, producing 480 hp of peak power and 600 Nm of peak torque. Its claimed 0-100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds is 0.3 seconds quicker than the rear-drive M2.
