BYD eMAX 7 Powertrain And Range

As mentioned earlier, the BYD eMAX 7 is available in two trims: Premium and Superior. Although both versions feature the same electric motor that produces 310 Nm of torque, Premium provides 161 bhp of peak power, and Superior generates 201 bhp of peak power.

While the former comes with a 553 kWh battery pack that promises a range of 420 km, the latter ships with a 71.8 kWh battery pack that can last up to 530 km. Like the battery range, the charging speeds also differ for the variants: Premium supports 89 kW DC charging, while Superior supports 115 kW DC charging.

BYD eMAX 7 Interior And Exterior Upgrades

The BYD eMAX 7 gets a rotating 12.8-inch infotainment system, which is significantly larger than the 10.1-inch screen on the e6 MPV (but the instrument cluster remains the same). Further, the vehicle ships with soft-touch materials all around the dashboard. Users also get two wireless charging pads, a new drive selector lever, and a revised steering wheel with a three-spoke design.

The BYD eMAX 7 Superior gets all the fancy new additions, like a panoramic sunroof, powered/ventilated front seats, frameless vipers, and roof rails. On the other hand, the Premium variant gets manually adjustable seats with no ventilation. Nonetheless, features like one-touch up/down windows, rear AC vents, and keyless start/stop are standard on both trims.

BYD eMAX 7 Interior And Exterior Upgrades

On the outside, the eMAX 7 doesn’t look much different from the e6 MPV. On the front, there is the wing-like headlamp and front-grill design. The cuts and releases on the sides of the front bumper run across the length of the car, giving it a sporty look. The side profile of the eMAX 7 is dominated by the 17-inch alloy wheels and the chrome garnish on the windows. Finally, the rear panel has a full-width tail lamp.

BYD eMAX 7 Safety Features

Standard safety features on the Premium and Superior models include six airbags, an anti-brake locking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), traction control (TC), electronic stability control (ESC), and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Further, the MPV ships with all four disk brakes and a 360-degree camera system.

The Superior variant also comes with Level 2 ADAS features.
