Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus has teased the first Nothing Android Smartphone after months of using an iPhone, as he claims. In his tweets, he mentions that he’s back on Android 12 and he’s enjoying it. This was replied to by Android and Qualcomm Snapdragon’s accounts which suggested that an Android and Snapdragon-powered smartphone might be in the pipeline from Nothing.

Pei had left OnePlus in 2020, post which he launched Nothing ear 1 in July last year. Nothing India’s VP had mentioned that the company is working on expanding its portfolio with 5 products in the coming years. This teased smartphone might be a step in that direction.

Although we don’t know anything about this Nothing smartphone, if Nothing ear 1 is anything to go by, we might see a unique design coupled with aggressive pricing in markets like India.

Nothing’s association with Qualcomm is not new as the company raised 50 million dollars in 2021 and entered into a partnership with Qualcomm. Pei had said, “We look forward to working alongside Qualcomm Technologies and our strategic investors to achieve Nothing’s next phase of growth.”
