Xiaomi India has today announced a new service initiative that you can use to track the status of the Xiaomi devices you have deposited at the service centre for repair.

So, if you recently submitted a Xiaomi Phone at their service centre, you need not call the service centre or customer care for updates, but can check the status yourself in a few simple steps. Here is how you can directly check your Xiaomi phone repair order status from Mi.com.

Step 1: Go to official Xiaomi’s service order page.

Step 2: Enter the contact number linked to the service request or your order/service/IMEI/Sn No.

Step 3: Click on confirm to get OTP and authenticate with the OTP.

In response, you will get a receipt displaying your order details and a self-explanatory service term (under inspection, To be checked, work in progress, ready for delivery, cancelled, etc.) describing the status of your order.

To simplify product maintenance and repair for its customers, Xiaomi also offers services like home pick and drop (in select areas), Hotline number, Chat support, and Mi Protect plans. The service order status request is a good initiative that should help ease things for consumers.

The company had a very successful festival run in India and putting in more efforts to improve its service infrastructure should help it further consolidate its position and maintain its lead in the hyper-competitive Indian smartphone market.
