ColorOS 16 and OxygenOS 16 Open Beta Goes Live Ahead of October 16 Launch

The open beta program for ColorOS 16 and OxygenOS 16 is now live, giving users an early chance to test the new software ahead of its official release. Owners of the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13s, OnePlus 13R, OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R, & OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro can apply through the Settings app by navigating to System & update > Software Update > three dots > Beta Program, followed by a short eligibility quiz.

After taking the quiz and scoring a decent score, you’ll be eligible for the update. You can take the quiz three times and the best score will be counted. Make sure to hurry up as there are limited slots.

Both updates are said to focus heavily on design, AI, and smoothness, introducing better lock screen customization, system-wide animation improvements, better AI integration and features, and new widget options for better personalization. The overall UI has also been refined for a more fluid and cohesive experience.

ColorOS 16 will launch in China on October 15, while OxygenOS 16 will debut in India on October 16. The ColorOS 16 India rollout is expected around the same time.
