OPPO has started rolling out a new ColorOS 16 update (version 16.0.5.701), starting with the Find X9 Pro and now expanding to more devices like the Find X9, Find X8 series, and the Reno 14 lineup. The rollout began around mid to late March and is happening in phases, so more devices should get it soon.
One of the more noticeable additions is support for multiple timers at the same time. You can run and track multiple timers together, which makes it more useful for things like cooking or workouts. Timers now also show exact stop times, so you know exactly when they’ll end. There’s also a quick option to add another timer or reuse ones you use often.

There are some handy updates around sharing and file handling too. The Content Portal now supports app clones, so you can share content across cloned apps as well. There’s also a new toggle that lets you control whether received files open automatically, which gives a bit more control over how files behave.

On the security side, OPPO has added a built-in virus scan that can detect and remove suspicious apps directly within the system. This update also includes the March 2026 security patch.
