realme has officially confirmed that the realme GT 8 Pro will be the first smartphone in India to launch with the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This puts them ahead of competition like iQOO 15 and OnePlus.15, repeating last year’s strategy when the GT 7 Pro was also first to debut with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
realme GT 8 Pro Specs
The company has confirmed its China, global, and now India launch, hinting that the phone will arrive very soon.
The realme GT 8 Pro will come with a BOE 2K flat LTPO AMOLED display measuring 6.85 inches, supporting up to 144 Hz refresh and possibly an anti-glare coating. The phone packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, up to 24 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.1 storage, plus the independent R1 e-sports graphics chip for smoother gaming.

realme claims the phone has already crossed 4 million points on AnTuTu, and can even run two games at high frame rates simultaneously (not sure why anyone would want to do that though).
Cameras on the realme GT 8 Pro are also very promising. It is led by a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom. It will also feature a 50 MP primary sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP front camera.

Interestingly, realme is teasing a swappable camera deco design, either circular or a new finish. For sound, the GT 8 Pro will have master-level symmetrical dual speakers with AAC-115E support.

Battery capacity could range between 7,500 mAh and 8,000 mAh, with 100W fast charging. Other upgrades include a stronger X-axis vibration motor and advanced cooling systems. The phone will run Android 16 with realme UI 7 out of the box.
Expected Pricing

The realme GT 8 Pro seems to be one of the most powerful flagships of the year, combining Qualcomm’s latest chipset, a massive periscope camera, and gaming-focused performance features, all set to launch in India ahead of its competitors. The pricing could be around ₹60,000 in India. What do you think? Let me know in the comments section below.
