It’s not just Apple that’s using Tandem OLED displays on its devices. Dell has now confirmed that they are using LG’s Tandem pOLED displays on its latest XPS 13 laptop running on the Snapdragon X Elite chip. This makes the Dell XPS 13 is the first laptop in the world to ship with a Tandem OLED display.

The Dell XPS 13 is a Copilot+ PC with a 3K Tandem pOLED display. A Tandem pOLED display is two OLED displays stacked on top each other to increase power efficiency, brightness, and overall display quality and longevity. The pOLED stands for plastic, meaning that the display is thinner and more flexible than a regular OLED display.

The display on the XPS 13 is not as bright as the one on the M4 iPad Pro, as it is rated with a max brightness of 400 nits. The display supports touch input and refreshes at 60 Hz.

Aside from the Tandem pOLED display, the Dell XPS features the latest ARM-based chipset from Qualcomm—Snapdragon X Elite.  The Snapdragon X Elite has a 12-core CPU, 45 TOPS NPU, and the Qualcomm Adreno GPU. The laptop supports up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage.
