Billionaire entrepreneur and Twitter owner Elon Musk is picking a fight with Mark Zuckerberg — and the Facebook chief is up for it. A public feud has erupted between billionaire entrepreneurs Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, with the Twitter owner and SpaceX CEO inviting the Facebook chief to a cage match. The social media showdown began when Musk took to Twitter to mock Meta’s attempt to launch a “sanely run” micro-blogging platform as a competitor to Twitter.

In response, Musk jokingly proposed a cage match, stating, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.” Zuckerberg swiftly replied on Instagram, posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet along with the caption “Send Me Location.” Expressing his enthusiasm, Musk tweeted, “If this is for real, I will do it 🔥🔥” and later mentioned “Vegas Octagon,” referring to the venue often used for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events.

The potential clash between the two tech titans has garnered attention, with some speculating on the involvement of the European Union’s Internal Market Commissioner, Thierry Breton, who is scheduled to meet both Musk and Zuckerberg during his visit to the United States this week. Breton, who has been vocal about regulating Big Tech, jokingly suggested he could officiate the match as “The Enforcer.”

While the exchange has an element of jest, Meta’s spokesperson affirmed the seriousness of the situation by stating, “The story speaks for itself.” Musk, known for his unpredictable behavior on Twitter, has faced criticism and controversy due to his impulsive tweets.

Interestingly, if the conflict were to escalate to a physical confrontation, Zuckerberg might have an advantage. The Meta CEO pursued Brazilian jiu-jitsu during the COVID-19 pandemic and recently achieved success by winning his first local tournament in California.

As the tension between the billionaire entrepreneurs continues to capture attention, the possibility of a real-life showdown in the cage remains uncertain. It remains to be seen whether the proposed cage match will materialize or if the banter between Musk and Zuckerberg will remain confined to the online realm.
