TL; DR
- The OnePlus Nord CE 5, codenamed Honda, will feature a large 7,100 mAh battery.
- It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset.
- The launch is expected to be next month or so.
OnePlus is gearing up for another Nord launch, and this time, it’s going big—literally. After our exclusive on upcoming OnePlus devices, we now have confirmation that the Nord CE 5 (or CE5, as it might be called)—codenamed Honda—is in the works. While the full details are still under wraps, this one is shaping up to be a massive upgrade over the Nord CE 4, at least in terms of the battery size.
For starters, the Nord CE 4 packed a solid 5,500 mAh battery, but OnePlus is going even bigger this time. As per a tip that we received, the Nord CE 5 will feature a 7,100 mAh battery, a massive upgrade over the 5,500 mAh on the CE 4. This could mean serious endurance gains, making it one of the best battery performers in its segment.

As for performance, there’s still some uncertainty. The Nord CE 5 is expected to feature either the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 or the Dimensity 8400, but nothing is confirmed yet. Given that the CE 4 had the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, it makes sense for OnePlus to aim higher.
The rest of the specs are still up in the air, but we’re looking at either the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 or MediaTek Dimensity 8400 under the hood. Storage-wise, UFS 3.1 is practically a given—since the CE 4 had it, OnePlus is unlikely to downgrade.

If past trends are anything to go by, the Nord CE 5 should launch next month. The Nord CE lineup has always been about value, so it’ll be interesting to see how OnePlus prices this one, especially with that enormous battery.
