TL; DR
  • Google confirms the screenless Fitbit Air will officially launch in India in October 2026.
  • The tracker weighs 5.2g, lasts up to a week, and syncs entirely via the Google Health app.
  • Indian pricing is unconfirmed; the device launched in the US in May at $99.99.

Google has confirmed that the Fitbit Air, its screen-free health tracker and Whoop rival, will arrive in India this October. This basically ends the months of speculation triggered by grey-market imports (the product is already available on Amazon) and a recent BIS certification listing.

The confirmation came directly from Google during its Pixel 11 series launch event in the country. So, it’s official.

Google Fitbit Air: Pricing & Availability

Google has not yet revealed Indian pricing. However, it will be announced closer to the October rollout. For context, the tracker is already available in the US at $99.99 (roughly ₹8,800), with a Stephen Curry-designed special edition priced at $129.99.

Given the gap between international and domestic pricing that’s typical for Google hardware in India, expect the final number to land somewhat higher than the currency conversion suggests. I expect the screenless tracker to be available around ₹12,000 to ₹15,000. For those catching up, the gray market pricing of the product is around ₹17,000 in India.

Google Fitbit Air: Key Features & Specifications

The Fitbit Air ditches a display entirely. Instead, it features a tiny 5.2-gram “pebble” that clips into swappable bands and depends on a paired phone for all data viewing. Despite its tiny size, it packs an optical heart rate sensor, an accelerometer and gyroscope, SpO2 monitoring, and a skin temperature sensor. It also tracks round-the-clock heart rate, AFib alerts, and sleep stages.

Battery life is rated at up to a week per charge, with a five-minute top-up delivering roughly a day’s worth of power. Everything is stored and displayed in Google Health app, which also handles automatic workout detection and coaching.

I’d treat the pricing gap as the thing to watch until Google comes out and reveals the official price tag. Given that I’ve been seeing an increasing number of people using the Whoop fitness tracker in the country, the Fitbit Air has an excellent potential potential in the country, given the pricing is about right.
