Fans of The Boys may need to wait a year for the show’s fifth season, but for those who appreciate the entire Boys Universe, there’s good news: the second season of Gen V (a spin-off of The Boys) is set to premiere in 2025. Amazon Prime Video has revealed the release date for Gen V Season 2, along with the first teaser.
The inaugural season of the spin-off followed a group of super-powered students as they struggled to manage their abilities while attempting to dismantle Vought’s nefarious Supe testing facilities beneath God U. Despite the first season concluding with the protagonists trapped in the lab and Sam and Cate being named the Guardians of Godolkin, the teaser for season 2 indicates that Marie and her friends are now free and returning to school.

Gen V Season 2: Plot
Following a tumultuous season one finale, one might expect that Godlkin University would undergo significant transformations, especially since half of the student body perished in a violent confrontation. However, in the realm of Supes, classes resume at God U. The inaugural season concluded with a dramatic cliffhanger, as Cate and Sam turned the entire world—or at least Godlkin University-on its head, and season 2 will unfold immediately after the events of The Boys Season 4.
The initial teaser for Gen V Season 2 reveals Godlkin being significantly impacted by the conclusion of Boys Season 4, following Homelander’s takeover of the Oval Office and the declaration of Martial Law. While it remains uncertain whether Gen V Season 2 will influence Boys Season 5, it is confirmed that both The Deep and Homelander will make appearances in the spin-off.

The official Prime Video synopsis for Gen V Season 2 reads-
“As the rest of America adjusts to Homelander’s iron fist, back at Godolkin’s University, the mysterious new Dean preaches a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes while Marie, Jordan, and Emma reluctantly return to college, burdened by months of trauma and loss. But parties and classes are hard to care about with war brewing between Humans and Supes, both on and off campus.
The gang learns of a secret programme that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realize. And somehow, Marie is a part of it.”
