Travel adapters have become essential for globetrotters, and with the rise of multi-device lifestyles, having an all-in-one charging solution is more helpful than ever. GM Modular, known for its home automation and electrical accessories, has entered the fray with the G+ 70W TravelEase Pro.

It is a universal travel adapter with GaN technology for efficient charging. This adapter promises compatibility in over 150 countries and the ability to power up to seven devices simultaneously. As a reviewer who usually ends up carrying a bag full of chargers, this little gadget has been a total lifesaver. Let’s get into the review.

Design and Build

GM G+ 70W TravelEase Pro

The TravelEase Pro has a compact, lightweight design that fits effortlessly into a backpack or carry-on. At under 240 grams and with 8.1 x 5.9 x 5.4 cm dimensions, it’s pocket-friendly and won’t take much space in your backpack either. The matte finish looks nice, while the built-in US, UK, EU, and AU plugs slide out seamlessly using the side mechanism.

Retractable Cable

One feature that stands out is the 75 cm (GM says it’s 75 mm but we think it’s a typo) retractable cable, which cuts down the need for extra cables and is a lifesaver when you don’t have a cable or an adapter around. To use the cable, just pull it out, and when you’re done, a single tug makes it retract automatically.

Ports and Sockets

The adapter also includes a universal AC socket on top, along with an additional USA/JP socket, two USB-C ports, and two USB-A ports. In theory, you can charge six or seven devices at once, which makes it a handy option for families or business travelers.

You also have the EU (Indian), USA/AUS, and UK plugs, so you can use it pretty much in any country, almost 150 of them. But there’s a quirk. In the EU plug configuration, it doesn’t sit flush in some sockets and tends to wobble or hang out.

It’s not a deal-breaker, but in loose wall outlets it can get a bit annoying. Luckily, you can always switch to the other plug options to keep the TravelEase Pro connected. On the plus side, features like child safety shutters and dual-fuse surge protection add an extra layer of safety and practicality to the design.

It’s Also a 70W Adapter

GM G+ 70W TravelEase Pro

The TravelEase Pro packs 70W GaN II technology for efficient charging without heating up. Using only the retractable cable gives you the full 70W output, supporting PD for fast-charging laptops, phones, and tablets.

How Does it Perform?

GM G+ 70W TravelEase Pro

In my testing, it powered a MacBook Air and an Android phone together without issues. When multiple devices are connected, the power splits, so a single USB-C delivers around 45W or less if others are in use.

The multi-port setup really shines while travelling. You can charge a laptop via the AC socket, a phone and earbuds via USB, and still have room for additional devices. No overheating, and no compatibility issues either. At home, it even doubles as a compact charging hub.

The only drawback is the power division. If you need full-speed charging for multiple power-hungry devices at once, it falls short. But for most travel needs, it balances efficiency and convenience really well, making multiple separate chargers almost unnecessary.

Review Verdict: Should You Buy the GM G+ 70W TravelEase Pro?

Pros

  • Compact and lightweight design
  • Works in 150+ countries
  • Retractable cable (75 cm)
  • 70W GaN II fast charging
  • Charges up to 7 devices at once
  • Child safety shutters and surge protection
  • Doubles as a charging hub at home

Cons

  • EU plug can feel loose in some sockets

The GM G+ 70W TravelEase Pro makes life a lot easier for frequent travelers. Its retractable cable, multi-port setup, and PD support make it more than just another travel adapter, and at ₹3,500, it feels like good value for what it offers. If you’re tired of packing a mess of chargers, this could genuinely simplify your travel kit and keep every device juiced up wherever you land.
