Google’s annual developer conference, Google I/O has been confirmed to take place on May 10 this year. The event will be the first in-person event with limited invitees since the Covid 19 pandemic. Here’s how you can join the I/O and all that’s expected.

Google I/O 2023: How to watch/attend

Google I/O 2023 will take place in Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, California. Although everyone can easily watch the live streaming of the event online, via Google’s social media channels, you can even register to attend the event live. Sundar Pichai just confirmed the date and the venue via a tweet through his Twitter handle.

Google I/O 2023: Expectations

Expansion of Bard

Since AI is the rage at the moment, Google might expand its ChatGPT rival Bard during the I/O 2023. It might open to more people, perhaps everyone.

Android 14

Google is expected to reveal more about the Android 14 OS which is in the developer preview stages for now. The second update has just arrived which includes the ability to limit access to photos by apps, optimized utilization of resources while apps run in the background, fewer non-dismissible notifications, and more.

Pixel Tablet / Foldable phone

In terms of hardware announcements, Google might announce its long-rumored Pixel Tablet during the I/O 2023. A foldable phone is also expected from the house of Google. Since Google’s I/O page looks somewhat like a tablet/foldable phone UI, so there are strong chances of Pixel tablet and Pixel Fold being showcased.

Pixel 7a & Pixel Buds

The mid-ranger and the 3rd member of the Pixel 7 Series might also be introduced. Pixel 7a is expected to be announced during the I/O 2023 along with Pixel Buds. Pixel 7a is expected with a Tensor G2 processor, a high-resolution camera, and more. It might be priced around 45k.

Google I/O 2023 is still months away so there is no clarity on what Google will announce during the event. More will be known as the day of the event draws closer.
