Google launched the more affordable Pixel 9a smartphone in India last month. The company announced the Google Pixel 9a on 19th March but at that time the date of sale wasn’t confirmed. Now, almost a month after the launch Pixel 9a has hit the shelves in the country. Google Pixel 9a is priced at 49,999 INR and can be purchased online as well as offline.

Google Pixel 9a: Price & Availability
Google Pixel 9a is priced at Rs. 49,999 for the lone 256GB storage model. It is available via Flipkart, Vijay Sales, Croma, Reliance Digital, and other retail channels online and offline.
As part of early sales offer, Google is offering a limited period cashback of Rs. 3000 and 24-months no-cost EMI with select banks and financing partners like HDFC Bank, IDFC Bank and Bajaj Finserv. Flipkart is also offering up 2000 INR exchange bonus. Google Pixel 9a is available in three colors- Iris, Porcelain and Obsidian.

Google Pixel 9a: Specifications
Google Pixel 9a flaunts a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED HDR screen with 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and 2700 nits brightness. It is powered by Google Tensor G4 chipset with Titan M2 security chip, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The smartphone runs Android 15 and comes with a promise of 7 OS updates and security feature drops.
In terms of camera, Google Pixel 9a features a 48MP Samsung GN8 sensor at the back along with OIS. There is also an LED flash and a 120-degree Ultrawide camera at the back. At the front is a 13MP selfie sensor that supports 4k 30fps video recording. Editing features include Magic Editor, Auto Frame, Reimagine, Magic Eraser, Best Take, Photo Unblur, Portrait Light, and more.

The Google Pixel 9a is IP68 rated and additional features include USB Type-C port, stereo speakers and 2 microphones. Under the hood Pixel 9a packs a 5100mAh battery with 23W wired and 7.5W wireless charging. Connectivity features include 5G, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 6, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou, NaviC, and more.
The dimensions of the device are 154.7×73.3×8.9mm and it weighs 185.9 grams. The smartphone comes with useful safety features like Emergency SOS, Crisis Alerts, Car Crash Detection, Safety Check, Emergency Contacts and Medical Info, Android Earthquake Alerts System, and Theft Protection.
Google Pixel 9a is the latest to join the Pixel 9 family that includes Google Pixel 9, Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold smartphones.
