As the prices of the new Maruti Dzire settle amid the Indian consumers, the Japanese automaker Honda has revealed the design sketches of the upcoming Amaze. As seen in the pictures, the third-generation Amaze will feature a sleek, subtle, and classy appearance. The car’s design will amalgamate elements from the popular City (a sedan) and Elevate (a compact SUV).

Honda Amaze To Flaunt Minimal Exterior, Sketch Showcases Car In Gray Finish

Per the sketch revealed by the company, the upcoming Honda Amaze will feature a sharp front fascia. Those who’ve seen the Honda Elevate will find the design elements very familiar, including the LED DRLs, headlamps, and nose grill. However, since the Amaze isn’t as tall as the Elevate, the elements look thinner in proportion. The lower part of the front bumper, which includes the fog lamps and bottom grill, looks a lot like the City.

The cuts and creases on the front bumper give it a very sharp look, like the classic sedans. Although the sketch doesn’t feature the door handles, it features the rather big alloy wheels. On the back, the vehicle features tail lamps similar to those of the City. Moreover, the vehicle has a very clean and timeless look that should appeal to young and aged demographics alike.

The Third-Gen Amaze’s Interiors Look Spacious

The minimal theme continues to the insides of the vehicle as well. In the artsy sketch shared by the company, there’s a lot of open space on the dashboard, which makes the interiors feel more spacious. Toward the center, the dashboard features a floating 10.25-inch infotainment screen, along with a wireless charger, some USB ports, and cup holders near the gear stick.

However, what doesn’t align with the minimal theme is the tiny horizontal elements that begin from the left AC vents and merge into the central vents. With a dual-tone finish, new instrument cluster, and steering-mounted controls, the interiors of the upcoming Amaze look a lot like the Elevate. While the sketch doesn’t seem to include a sunroof, the third-generation Amaze could also feature it on the top trims.

New Honda Amaze: Rumors, Price Announcement, And Competition

Further, it is also rumored to include ADAS features. Under the shiny hood, the Honda Amaze will retain the same 1.2-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine (with either a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox). At present, the company hasn’t confirmed the upcoming Amaze getting a CNG model. Nonetheless, Honda will announce the price of the upcoming sedan on December 4, 2024.

“The All-New 3rd Generation Amaze has been designed at Honda R&D Asia Pacific center in Thailand after extensive surveys in India to offer a more delightful sedan experience, enhancing its premium appeal and elevating it to a higher class,” writes Honda in the official press release. With the refreshed exterior and spacious interiors, the car will compete with the newly-launched Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor, which are some of the popular compact sedans in the segment.
