Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro with Pop up selfie camera and Kirin 810 SoC Go Official

Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro launched in China with an interesting set of specs. They are powered by Kirin 810 processor, something which we already knew. If you’d recall, we had earlier talked about its AnTuTu score as well as the leaked retail box. Now that the phone is official, we know of its 48MP rear camera and pop-up selfie camera, amongst many other features.

Honor brings trendy on to the table with the notch-free and almost edge-to-edge display. It has a 6.59-inch Full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) LCD panel flaunting upfront. A 16MP front camera stays inside its motorized pop-up module. The back camera bears the 48MP primary sensor coupled with an 8MP ultrawide captor and a 2MP depth sensor.

The innards house a Kirin 810 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and upto 256GB of storage. You can expand it further using a micro SD card up to 512GB. The performance is aided by GPU Turbo 3.0. Inside, you also have a sealed 4000mAh battery.

Honor 9X Pro also bags Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The phone features a gradient glossy back which comes out in Magic Night Black, Charm Sea Blue, Charm Red colors.

Honor 9X: How’s different from Honor 9X Pro?

The ‘Non’ pro variant doesn’t have the ultrawide shooter. So, the optics are handled by the 48MP primary sensor and the 2MP depth sensor. It will retail in a 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage variants. No, there is no 8GB RAM plus 256GB storage variant in this one.

Honor 9X, Honor 9X Pro launched

Honor 9X base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage starts at CNY 1,399 (around Rs. 14,000). This is followed by CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 16,000) for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage option, and CNY 1,899 (around Rs. 19,000) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option. It is available for pre-order on Chinese e-com website Vmall, and the sale will start from July 30.

Coming to Honor 9X Pro, it’s base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced starting at CNY 2,199 (around Rs. 22,000), while the larger 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 24,000). The pre-orders begin from July 30 while it hits the Chinese store(s) from August 9.
