The original had launched in India earlier this year. So about a month later, we have news on the Honor 9X Pro’s arrival. Compared to the 9X (review), the Pro variant will showcase a better spec sheet. A recent poster from the company chief’s official Facebook handle confirms the phone will be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC. But, that’s not the intriguing aspect here.

Honor 9X Pro is said to be the first phone that will be equipped with Huawei’s in-house alternative to Google Play Services. Unless you were living under a rock, you may know of the whole Android-Huawei license issue, all thanks to burgeoning US-China trade tussle. As a result, Huawei was reportedly working on its backup, which we would witness in the form of the HMS and App Gallery.
