How to get Amazon Prime for free in India

Amazon Prime is a hugely popular subscription for Indian consumers that bundles a host of lucrative services. Benefits include faster and free deliveries, excellent content library of Prime videos, Prime music subscription, and also Prime reading books.

Amazon Prime subscription in India is one of the cheapest in the world. While the Amazon Prime subscription costs $12.99 per month in the US (or $119/year), the e-commerce giant charges just Rs 129 per month or Rs. 999 per year for the Prime membership in India.

Although, Amazon Prime is a paid service, there are genuine ways to get a year-long subscription for free. Airtel and Vodafone – two major telecom operators offer free Amazon Prime subscription in India. Here’s how to get Amazon Prime for free in India for Airtel or Vodafone customers.

Get Amazon Prime with Airtel Thanks Plan

If you are an Airtel mobile or broadband subscriber you might be eligible for a free subscription of Amazon Prime. Yes, that correct. Airtel offers a free 12 month Amazon Prime subscription on select postpaid mobile and fiber broadband internet plans.

All Airtel postpaid customers who have an active connection with ₹499 or above monthly rental plan can avail free prime subscription. Similarly, Airtel broadband customers who are on a plan of ₹999 or above, can enjoy Netflix membership for up to 3 months with Airtel Thanks.

Both Airtel Mobile and broadband eligible customers can go to Airtel Thanks app to activate this offer look for the Prime Video banner on the Airtel app or Xtreme app. Once you tap on the activate option, it will load Amazon login page. If you can’t find prime video banner you will need to reach out to customer care on 121 for help.

Get Amazon Prime with Vodafone Red Plan

Vodafone Red customers are required to download the Vodafone Play app. Tap on Amazon Prime banner to activate. It will redirect you to the Amazon login page. Once you login to your Amazon account it will activate the prime subscription for your account.
